Maternal: Mom is Aasia (Robbins) Landgraab, and grandparents are Daphne (Strickland) Robbins, and Quavi Robbins. Paternal: Father is Malcom Landgraab V, and grandparents are Margaret and Malcom Landgraab III.
Yes, all three of the Landgraab children went to University at the same time. Woo. What was ASimWen thinking??? Richie and Yazibell have a full two years to go before graduation and unfortunately they are engaged. They are doomed to a life of Townie-ism.
Somehow ASimWen is getting the feeling right away these two are not a good match. Checking the relationship panel, there is only one bolt of attraction. Hmmmm something needs to be done about this.
Richie and Yaz enjoy meals outside. Richie is always happy and yakking, whilst Yaz seems distanced. Sad. There is just no chemistry here.
Yaz seems pained by Richie's advances. Ugh.
However when she got on the phone to make friends, she was a totally different Sim. Richie couldn't believe his eyes.
Richie started to spend copious amounts of time alone thinking the situation over. Did he really want to spend his life in Townie-dom engaged to her?
He took most of his meals alone. He began to wonder what he saw in Yazibell, but then he remembered. This was an arranged marriage by his grandpa, Quavi Robbins. ??? Why in this day and age was there still arranged marriages? He didn't care. Grandpa Quavi was dead now. Who in the family would object if he didn't marry Yazibell?
Xuan: Nobody cares...nobody cares...for me.....
Richie managed to get Yaz to go out to the library to do their term papers. She went, begrudgingly. After all, the paper had to be done. Right?
In no time, Richie and Yaz entered their Senior year. Richie was as miserable as ever. Yazibell rarely spoke to him, but seemed to spend all her time talking to friends. He was lonely in the rental he shared with Yaz.
Yaz excelled. She got a hobby plaque in Nature. The cheerleader came by to congratulate her, and give the accomplishment a big CHEER.
It wasn't long before the year was half over. Richie found himself wishing it was over already.
Yazibell's sister Ketrina came by to visit on occasion. This seemed to bring Yaz out of her funk.
One evening while Yaz and Ketrina visited on the back patio, having dinner without him. He tried to keep himself busy but he overheard them talking.
Yazibell: I don't know Ketrina. I don't know if I love Richie. He grates on my nerves.
Ketrina: Oh no! You guys have been together since high school. What's going on?
Yazibell: He really changed in college. He seems distant...when he looks at me it is like he really isn't seeing me. Looks right through me.
Ketrina: I am so sorry Yaz. Ya know, this might be hard to hear, but why don't you try to find yourself an alien man? You would probably have more in common with someone like that.
Yazibell: That is just the thing Ketrina. Richie is 1/4 alien. His ancestors are from Anatoth. It just doesn't seem right. We should get on alright.
Ketrina: Maybe his blood isn't pure enough. Why don't you think about it, Yaz.
Yazibell: Or maybe we are just incompatible!
Many weeks later:
Ever since Richie overheard Yazibell and her sister's conversation, his heart churned. Now they both have graduated, and it was time to move on to the next stage of life. It was now or spend the his life in Townie-dom saddled to her. He wanted to be free in case he met a Playable who would love him and bring him out of the Townie life.
"It's time to confront Yaz." thought Richie.
He stuttered. He sighed. He started over three times. He told her...he just didn't love her anymore. Ketrina flushed in anger.
"Richie Landgraab. You and I have been together since we were kids. You have treated me so despicably since we came to university. Nothing like how it used to be. What is it. Are you cheating? Have you been seeing someone else? Coward. I mean it. COWARD!"
Richie couldn't believe his ears. He was a Family Sim. How could Yazibell think he cheated on her? He wants nothing more than to be the One and Only for his beloved. The problem was, Yaz was not his beloved.
"Yazibell..No, no...I mean...that's not it.... "
"Richie you are lower than a snake's belly. Hey lemme tell you something. I was gonna break up with you. Huh? How do you like that. I was gonna do it tonight. Yeah. Tonight. I just wasn't quick enough. Jerk. Just remember this. I dumped YOU. You didn't dump me!"
Richie thought his head was gonna explode. He knew Yazibell was going to be mad, but he didn't think she was gonna be so hard. What was the family gonna say? The Robbinses???
Xuan: Do what you wanna do....be what you wanna be....
The next few hours were miserable while the two cashed out their University earnings and packed up to travel back to Prosperity Falls. No graduation party.
Richie finally called for a cab. He was going home. He felt lighthearted even if he was gonna be a Townie. He could go to a Townie life free and clear of any encumbrances to anyone. he would be looking for The One...he could spend his life with. Being a Townie wouldn't be so bad.
Yazibell called for a cab right after Richie left. She felt good. Really good. Hated the break up, but ya know what.."thems the breaks". She would move on and find her a good alien man. Yeah. That is what she would do. Surely she could do that living the Townie life.
ASimWen: Ewww. She is gonna get a makeover before she enters Towniedom!

Notes:
I have never written a break up scene in Prosperity Falls. I knew within minutes of entering this lot that they did not belong together. It took me a month to play it. I felt a really sorry for both of them. They talked to me and begged to be single. And so it was.
